Alyssa is an accomplished music therapist who brings her expertise and passion for goal-oriented music interventions to Making Light Productions. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS, where she had the invaluable opportunity to work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a grant program. She facilitated performance-based music groups and organized community performances to empower and showcase the abilities of her clients.
Following her coursework, Alyssa pursued her clinical internship at Therabeat Inc. in Woodstock, GA, where she provided individual and group music therapy sessions, adaptive music lessons, and general music lessons. Her dedication and commitment to her clients led her to successfully pass her board certification exam, solidifying her expertise in the field.
Now residing in Tallahassee, FL, Alyssa is thrilled to be part of the Making Light Productions team, where she can utilize her skills and knowledge to create meaningful and personalized music experiences for her students. Her unwavering dedication to helping individuals reach their unique goals through music therapy makes her a valuable asset to our community.
